The Acton Republican Town Committee (RTC) invites you to their Caucus to elect delegates to the Republican State Convention, on February 18, 2026. The meeting will start at 6:00 pm at the Acton Memorial Library, 486 Main St, Acton MA. Any Actonian Republican as of December 31st, 2025 is eligible to be nominated as a delegate. Val Walker’s winter session of Words Galore will meet for four weeks via Zoom for fun and lively word play and brain twisters—a logophile’s paradise! Learn new words, explore the history of old words and delve into the origins of words. Enjoy limericks, riddles, famous quotes, puns, and fascinating trivia about trendy words. An afternoon of music with Liana Paniyeva. Hailed by the New York Concert Review as "a wonderful pianist", and one with "tender regard for the music, a captivating inwardness" by Fanfare Magazine, Liana Paniyeva has won prizes in numerous competitions internationally and has performed at festivals in Norway, Hungary, Austria, Canada, England, Italy, Syria, South Africa, Spain and Israel. For the last 200 years, the United States has had a complex, often controversial, relationship with our southern neighbors. Recent events in South America and the Caribbean illustrate that the story of this relationship is still unfolding. This illustrated talk examines the history of US involvement in the Americas, and the politics, economics, and ideologies that shaped the story. Paolo Di Gregorio is a historian, archaeologist and educator. He is a Visiting Lecturer in the History Department at Bridgewater State University, and his passion for telling stories of our past is enthusiastically received by Acton’s older adults!  Open to out-of-towners
