The Acton Community Services Office within the Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with MetroWest Legal Services, will host a monthly housing legal clinic beginning in January.  Housing Legal Clinic appointments will begin on Jan. 14 and will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 4-6 p.m. at the Human Service and Senior Center, 30 Sudbury Road Rear. Before you attend a session, you must complete the following registration form, which can be found here. The program, which is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, will run until Dec. 31, 2026.

Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (ABRHS) is fielding one of 17 teams that will be competing in the 16th season of High School Quiz Show, GBH's academic tournament for Massachusetts high school students. The show, which is hosted by Joe Hanson, will showcase the academic talent of students from across the Commonwealth, providing a platform for them to demonstrate their knowledge across various subjects like math, history, and science. Open to all Acton residents. Select Board Vice-Chair Dean Charter, who chairs the Department of Public Works Building Committee, will present the justification, plans, and cost estimate for the proposed new Public Works Facility that will replace the existing building at 14 Forest Road. A debt exclusion override will be voted on at the April election and will be presented for a vote at the Annual Town Meeting in May. This discussion will be informal and interactive.
